 will be taking students for semi-private or private lessons starting in June, 2009. Lessons will be given in an air-conditioned, well-lit studio. Students of all ages are welcomed. Students will learn various mediums including detailed pencil, pen and ink, colored pencil, pastel, and acrylics on canvas. Beginning students will work on the use of basic lines and then "graduate" to creating detailed valued drawings. Students interested in group instruction should check the Art Programs page for information on Saturday and summer classes. About the Instructor: Mrs. Cipolla has been teaching art since 1994. She developed the award-winning Art Workshop program at Immaculate Conception School in Jenkintown. Several of her students have been awarded art scholarships to area high schools. She teaches students of all ages and ability levels---the only requirement is a love for creating art!  (Pictured to the left is the work of 28 of Mrs. Cipolla's Art Workshop students. They created this piece entitled Christ Our Lord, and painted each individual panel using one of the titles of Christ. One of the students also designed the border. This painting hangs in the stairwell at Immaculate Conception School in Jenkintown.) In 2006, Mrs. Cipolla and her students were recognized by Today's Catholic Teacher magazine, with an Innovations in Education Award for this work. |
